The dreaded lurgy

Oh dear, our normal cast iron stomachs let us down big time this time.  The Saturday night gala dinner got the better of both of us so we still haven't managed to leave Kupang as planned.  The dreaded lurgy hit like a ton of bricks and I've not moved out of bed in two days.  Paul managed a lighter dose but still feels somewhat shattered and I might actually try to surface today, the third day.

Then, to top it all off, our outboard was showing some serious signs of going into death throes and we were warned that revving it could be fatal.  It's now ashore having a complete overhaul; a cost we didn't need but in fairness to the old Yamaha, it's had a few swims in the past that couldn't have done it any favours so it's served us well over the past nine years under the circumstances.

This delay simply means that we won't go on to Wini, our next planned stop, but rather head straight over to Alor some 140 nautical miles away, an overnight trip.  There we hope to find an anchorage which isn't parked right outside the loudspeakers of a mosque. Please!

Oh, I am so sorry you guys got hit with that - and the noise ashore must have made you feel like you were really dying! Hope you are feeling better.
